DAY 2

The 2026 Formula Student China (FSTC) officially kicked off in Zhengzhou. DIAN Racing, driven by an extreme pursuit of speed and technology, gathered once again at the competition venue.

01 Efficient Collaboration, Securing “First Inspection” Success

At 9:45 AM, the team faced its first challenge—battery pack safety inspection. Thanks to thorough pre-race preparation and on-site organization, the team completed the inspection in just 25 minutes. Leveraging this efficient performance, the team quickly secured a slot for the first batch of electrical inspections, which was completed in one hour, and then proceeded to the mechanical inspection area, finishing three checks before the morning session closed.

After thorough preparations at noon, the team completed all remaining tech inspections—including tilt, rain, and brake tests—by around 3:00 PM, becoming the first electric formula team to pass all tech inspections at the event, showcasing the team’s organizational efficiency and execution.

02 Full Preparation for Dynamic Events

During the brake inspection, the technical team detected signal fluctuations in the vehicle. Responding swiftly, the team immediately carried out targeted system optimization and electromagnetic compatibility improvements. After intensive spin tests and data analysis, the car was restored to its optimal competitive condition.

Meanwhile, the team leader meeting completed the draw for the next day’s Sprint Endurance race. As a seeded group, the team received a first-round bye, earning valuable adjustment time.

As night fell, the team returned to base but did not rest. The strategy group conducted an in-depth analysis of weather forecasts, track conditions, and the Sprint Endurance format, formulating a detailed battle plan for the upcoming dynamic events.

DAY 3

01 Sprint Endurance

In the morning, the one-on-one Sprint Endurance race began. The event used a mixed draw between combustion-engine and electric vehicles, with drivers competing on a symmetrical track. All team members remained highly focused, pushing to the limit.

In the semifinals, DIAN Racing was in top form, setting the fastest lap of 18.84 seconds across all teams, demonstrating strong cornering performance and the driver’s skillful technique. However, in the final round, a momentary power overrun occurred, resulting in second place for the event.

02 Acceleration

Due to the draw result, DIAN Racing had a first-round bye in the Sprint Endurance, allowing the team to flexibly adjust its schedule and prioritize the Acceleration event.

The team’s first run achieved an impressive time of 3.8 seconds, ultimately securing third place in this event.

With the dynamic events’ debut concluded, team members quickly transitioned into preparation for subsequent races. They conducted comprehensive data reviews of on-track performance and identified issues, optimizing algorithm parameters while preparing the car.

A brief rest is for a better restart. The team recharged their energy, saving strength for the next events, awaiting another breakthrough on the track.
