Static Events and Partial Dynamic Events

Multiple Breakthroughs Set New Team Records

On November 22, the results of FSEC static events and partial dynamic events were officially announced. Our electric racing team excelled in several comprehensive events, achieving multiple honors: 4th place in Business Plan, 2nd place in Engineering Design (Electric), 4th place in Skidpad, 4th place in Engineering Design (Driverless), and 11th place in Cost and Manufacturing Analysis. Proudly, these results are the best the team has achieved in recent years participating in FSEC, a breakthrough made possible by the team’s long-term dedication and close collaboration.

Acceleration: Sprint to Victory, Claiming First Place

On the morning of the same day, the highly anticipated acceleration event kicked off in a tense and exciting atmosphere. With cheers from the sidelines, our driver demonstrated excellent driving skills and composure, showcasing peak performance on the track. As the official waved the flag, the car shot out like an arrow, ultimately achieving 3.78 seconds and securing first place. This fully demonstrated our team’s strength in electric powertrain development and vehicle tuning.

Autocross: Strong Start, Teamwork in Crisis

Immediately after acceleration, the autocross event began. As a core test of chassis stability and driver response, the team showed high competitive levels in the first run—our driver navigated the complex course with precise lines and stable control, achieving an impressive 67.038 seconds, temporarily securing the title of “instant first place.” Unfortunately, subsequent teams posted faster times, and we ultimately finished fourth. Nevertheless, this milestone boosted team morale.

However, during run 3, an unexpected incident occurred—the front wing endplate detached at high speed, creating tense moments. In this critical situation, DIAN Racing members remained calm and composed, demonstrating strong professionalism and teamwork. After the driver safely stopped, the technical team quickly brought spare parts to the repair area, unbolted, replaced components, and adjusted settings—all in a smooth, orderly process. Remarkably, a repair that normally takes over an hour was completed in just 20 minutes. As the clock ticked, the team swiftly pushed the car to scrutineering by 5 PM. Although they ultimately could not start due to time constraints, every moment from the incident to the repair showcased the team’s unity and calmness. This resilience in adversity shines as brightly as a trophy!

Review and Prepare for Endurance Glory

These achievements are the result of countless days and nights of research and testing, and a vivid demonstration of the university’s strong support for student innovation. Despite the successes, DIAN Racing members are not slowing down. Tonight, they will immediately engage in intensive post-event analysis, reviewing tactics and vehicle performance from multiple angles, meticulously refining every detail of the E77 race car.

As the ultimate test of reliability and endurance, the endurance event will take place on November 23. Our electric racing team will build on current outstanding performance, uphold the spirit of “compete with oneself, challenge the limits,” and strive to write new legends in upcoming events, bringing honor to the university! Let us cheer for DIAN Racing!
