I have been interested in automotive electronics since my freshman year, but specialized courses start quite late. I wanted to get an early look, so I joined DIAN Racing, hoping to gain exposure to professional knowledge in advance.
When I first joined, I couldn’t do anything, and in my first season I just helped the senior members with simple tasks. After last season, I took over the battery box design. At the beginning, I was indeed intimidated by the complex design process, but with the help and support of the team veterans, I pulled through and completed the task successfully. I encountered difficulties in other areas too, but deep down I always wanted to see my design prove reliable and watch the race car we built together tear up the track — that’s the happiest thing. With that hope and the pursuit of that happiness, I have persevered through countless difficulties up to now.
I’ve gained a lot in the team, not just learning how to use certain software. Through communication with sponsors, procurement and manufacturing processes, I’ve also learned a great deal about dealing with people in the industry. Moreover, the team’s sometimes international mindset and forward-thinking approach have broadened my horizons and benefited me greatly.
For the team’s future, I hope DIAN Racing becomes more professional and internationalized, with even better development. For myself, I hope to find a job I love in the field of automotive electronics in my future career.
We have raced on the track and also bowed our heads in disappointment;
