Team and Technical Highlights
As a high-caliber, internationally oriented student racing team, DIAN Racing designs and manufactures a new Formula Student electric vehicle each year, achieving notable results in major electric formula series worldwide.
This season’s new car, DRe17, featured significant technical and aesthetic advancements. Innovations such as a four-motor layout, third spring system, and a self-developed BMS introduced fresh design concepts to China’s student electric racing scene, with on-track dynamic performance proving the superiority of these solutions.
The team’s consistent performance stems from countless testing runs and a rigorous pursuit of precise parameters. Among the tools used was the Kvaser Memorator Pro 2xHS v2 bus analyzer and data logger, which enabled fast and convenient data acquisition for analysis.
Team Member Testimonial
Sun Weiqi from the DIAN Racing Electronic Control Group commented:
“We use the Kvaser analyzer to record and analyze data during every test session, including during competitions. The Kvaser analyzer is very user-friendly and records data accurately. The host software allows us to check each power-on timestamp and offers multiple output file formats, which often lets us analyze data right at the test track.”
Kvaser Product Application
With precise data collection on aspects such as battery usage, cooling package temperature, ride height, suspension data, wheel speed, torque, acceleration, and braking, Kvaser analyzers and data loggers have become the preferred choice for Formula Student teams worldwide.
