Through aggressive carbon fibre layup optimisation and refined embedded material choices, the DRe19 monocoque came in at roughly 22 kg — a step forward in composite design.
Self-developed BMS — 1 mV/cell accuracy
DRe19 introduced a fully student-designed distributed BMS over CAN bus, achieving 1 mV/cell measurement accuracy with passive balancing and SOC estimation.
+20% aero downforce vs DRe18
A new aero package with variable-section fins and multi-airfoil combinations delivered more than 20% additional downforce over DRe18 in CFD.
16% / 15% lighter uprights
Topology-optimised front uprights 16% lighter than the previous year; metal-3D-printed uprights saved a further 15% weight while meeting all safety constraints.
