The Team
One DIAN Racing team, two competitive branches. Faculty, captain, directors and members working on the same electric platform.
We build engineers, not just race cars
Since 2013, DIAN Racing has been Tongji University's proving ground for hands-on engineering. Members own real subsystems with real deadlines: a design that must survive judges, manufacturing, and 22 km of endurance racing.
The result is a culture of ownership — and alumni who go on to build at leading automotive, technology, and motorsport companies.

Subsystems
Every car is the work of six tightly coupled disciplines.
Mechanical
Monocoque, suspension hardware, aero package, and everything machined or laminated in-house.
Electrical & Electronics
Accumulator, BMS, inverters, wiring harness, and the low-voltage systems that keep the car alive.
Software
Vehicle control firmware, telemetry, data pipelines, and the simulation tools behind every decision.
Autonomous Driving
Perception, localization, planning, and control for the driverless car racing in FSAC.
Vehicle Dynamics
Suspension kinematics, tyre modelling, and lap simulation — turning data into lap time.
Operations
Sponsorship, finance, logistics, media, and the business presentation judged at every event.
2025 Leadership
DIAN Racing operates as one team across two competitive branches. The electric branch races in FSEC and Student Formula Japan; the driverless branch races in FSAC on a re-engineered previous-generation electric car. Directors collaborate across branches on a shared engineering platform.
