Back on the podium — our return to the top of Formula Student Electric China.

• ▸ Full Distributed 4WD — Four wheel-side PMSM motors deliver 144 kW combined peak power, each paired with a planetary gearbox integrated into the upright for a compact wheel package.
• ▸ High-Voltage Accumulator — Student-designed and manufactured 7.09 kWh / 596.4 V battery pack with an in-house BMS — the same concept that won the Best Accumulator Design award at FSEC 2020.
• ▸ Driverless Variant — DRd25 — Our autonomous sister car runs at 200 Hz control frame rate with sub-200 ms system delay and 14 cm positioning accuracy, enabling fully unmanned dynamic events.

• ▸ New drivetrain iteration — Refined wheel-side planetary gearbox and upright integration leading into the DRe25 generation.
• ▸ Industry exchange — Team members held a communication session with the global CEO of Volkswagen Group in 2024.

• ▸ FSAE Japan CAE Award — 1st — DRe23 earned the top CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) award at Formula SAE Japan 2023, alongside 2nd place in MathWorks Modeling and 3rd in Design.
• ▸ Ergonomics Award — 3rd — Driver-cockpit ergonomics package recognised at FSAE Japan 2023.

• ▸ Full season return — DIAN Racing returned to on-track competition after the COVID-affected 2020 and online 2021 seasons.

• ▸ First driverless car — DRd21 — DIAN Racing entered the Driverless class for the first time. DRd21 won 1st place in the Autonomous Racing Vehicle Design Report and finished 3rd overall in the driverless class.
• ▸ Business & Design Report — 2nd — DRe21 took 2nd place in both the Business Report and the Design Report at FSEC 2021, finishing 4th overall.

• ▸ FSEC 2020 Champion — DIAN Racing won the 1st place overall at Formula Student Electric China 2020 in Xiangyang — after a season full of challenges, the team emerged from the trough to claim the championship.
• ▸ Clean sweep of technical events — Design Event 1st, Acceleration Event 1st, Electrical System Design Event 1st, Best Accumulator Container Design 1st, and Skidpad 2nd.
• ▸ First public rollout at PEC Shanghai — DRe20 made its public debut at the Porsche Experience Centre Shanghai, and later featured at the 2021 Shanghai International Auto Show.

• ▸ 22 kg carbon monocoque — Through aggressive carbon fibre layup optimisation and refined embedded material choices, the DRe19 monocoque came in at roughly 22 kg — a step forward in composite design.
• ▸ Self-developed BMS — 1 mV/cell accuracy — DRe19 introduced a fully student-designed distributed BMS over CAN bus, achieving 1 mV/cell measurement accuracy with passive balancing and SOC estimation.
• ▸ +20% aero downforce vs DRe18 — A new aero package with variable-section fins and multi-airfoil combinations delivered more than 20% additional downforce over DRe18 in CFD.

• ▸ Design Event — 1st (FSEC) — DRe18 won the Design Event at FSEC 2018, along with Cost Event 1st, HONDA Award 1st and the Siemens–Mentor Electrical Wiring Harness Award.
• ▸ Total 2nd Overall — FSAE Japan 2018 — DIAN Racing finished 2nd overall at FSAE Japan 2018, with 1st in Good Accumulator Container Design, 2nd in Best Electrical System and 3rd in both Design and Efficiency.

• ▸ Design & Presentation — 1st at FSEC — DRe17 swept the static events at FSEC 2017, winning Design Event 1st, Presentation Event 1st, HONDA Prize 1st and the NIO Best Powertrain Award 1st.
• ▸ BMS Best Accumulator Design — Klclear BMS Best Accumulator Design Award — 1st place.
• ▸ Wan Gang visit — At the 110th anniversary of Tongji University, former Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang visited DIAN Racing.

• ▸ Chassis & aero iteration — Building on DRe15 — further integration of the chassis and aerodynamic package.

• ▸ Industry exhibitions — DRe15 was exhibited at China Electronics Fair Shanghai (invited by LEMO), the 12th China International Battery Fair (invited by Chroma) and CSITF 2015.
• ▸ Volkswagen Group China signing — Formal sponsorship signing ceremony with Volkswagen Group China held in 2015.

• ▸ 2014 Rollout at Shanghai Automotive Museum — DRe14 was unveiled on July 9th, 2014 at the Shanghai Automotive Museum — DIAN Racing's first public car launch event.
• ▸ First VW Group China partnership — On May 14th, 2014, the first formal sponsorship signing ceremony between Volkswagen Group China and DIAN Racing was held.

• ▸ Team founded — March 2013 — DIAN Racing was established in March 2013 as part of the Innovation Base of the School of Automotive Studies, Tongji University — dedicated to Formula Student Electric from day one.
• ▸ DRe13 — the first DIAN Racer — The team's very first race car. 'DRe' stands for DIAN Racing Electric — every car DIAN Racing has ever built has been all-electric.
