2023 Formula SAE Japan
On 5 September, the results of the 21st Student Formula Japan were announced. This year’s competition attracted 90 teams from Japan and overseas. After overcoming numerous challenges, DIAN Racing proudly led DRe23 through the online static events and achieved excellent rankings in Design, CAE, MathWorks, Ergonomics, and other categories. This is the first international trophy won by a mainland Chinese FSAE team since 2019!

Preparation process
Facing this edition of Formula SAE Japan, DIAN Racing began planning the competition at the end of 2022. Team members deeply cherished this opportunity to compete with international teams and hoped to bring honour to their country and university — a dream shared by every DIAN Racing member.
To achieve strong results, many members chose to stay on campus over the summer to continue their work.
Daily work scenes
Since June, team members worked in the workshop almost every day, day after day… When the new car finally rolled out, their excitement was beyond words.
The competition results are the most sincere reward for the team’s efforts and hard work. With this, our participation in Formula SAE Japan 2023 concludes successfully.
Event summary
DIAN Racing gained invaluable experience from this year’s Student Formula Japan. The preparation was not always smooth sailing; the team encountered many difficulties along the way, but ultimately the members bravely and resolutely overcame them. Facing the upcoming China competition, the team is fully prepared to take on even greater challenges!
Autumn recruitment
The annual autumn recruitment is about to begin
DIAN Racing focuses on high-level race car design and manufacturing as well as efficient project management, actively participating in Formula SAE competitions worldwide. We have built a strong reputation in the Chinese and Japanese FSAE communities. The team now fields two cars and two competition squads — electric and driverless. In 2020, we won the overall championship of the Formula Student Electric China.
