At the start of September, DIAN Racing members were invited to Porsche (China) Motors Ltd. for a sharing and exchange event. The members introduced the team’s design and philosophy to Porsche employees, exchanged ideas, and toured Porsche China’s headquarters, experiencing its comfortable office environment and distinctive corporate culture.
“Expertise Talk Recap”
The first speaker was Feng Yu, captain of the 21st season. As the current season’s CTO, he introduced the design journey of DIAN Racing’s cars: integrating design visions across subsystems and development experience accumulated over the years, aiming to maximize the performance of this season’s car and all future cars, while leveraging the team’s current resources. Through rational and standardized design processes and methods, the DRe cars achieve outstanding results in Formula Student competitions.
The second speaker was Huang Mingqi, an active member of the chassis group from the Class of 2018. He detailed the manufacturing process of the 2020 championship-winning car, emphasizing that a champion car relies on processing technology and quality. Every careful adjustment before running contributed to our championship. During this period, Porsche engineers also participated in our test drives, providing professional guidance and valuable advice, giving us an extra edge toward the title.
The third speaker was Cao Haize, an active member of the body group from the Class of 2019. Having joined DIAN Racing just a year earlier, he introduced our team structure: “One after another, united in effort” represents the hard work and continuous legacy passed down by each cohort of students. For university students, building a race car is a process filled with both surprises and disappointments—constantly trying and failing, then trying and failing again, until success. That is how DIAN Racing continues its legacy of brilliance.
After the presentations, many guests came on stage to interact with the members, creating a lively atmosphere.

Taking the elevator directly to Porsche’s office area, the members toured the comfortable and elegant workspace and experienced the fun and welcoming corporate culture.
